Victorian, Queens Pattern, Table Spoon from 1877
A nice example of Queens Pattern in a well looked after Table spoon. Many refer to this as Kings Pattern, but Queens is a little more floral and ornate.
The spoon measures approximately 220 mm (just over 8.5") long by 45 mm (1.75") wide at the bowl. It weighs approximately 90 grams.
The back of the spoon is hallmarked Sterling Silver, London, 1877 with a duty mark. Sadly the makers mark is indistinct.
The spoon is in generally very good condition with a little right handed wear to the tip of the bowl. There is a faint script engraving under the husk to the front of JES.
All vintage items have been used and loved before they find their next owner, so they should always be used with a little more care than a brand new piece. Some minor scratches are normal. All vintage pieces I sell have been thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished when required. If repairs are needed before it's offered for sale, they are completed sympathetically.
Thank you for looking and please have a look around the other items in my shop.
