A matching set of Victorian Tea Spoons.
A set of six Old English fiddle pattern teaspoons with matching dates and maker. These have been engraved with the initials "AC"in a floral script.
Hallmarks for London, 1873 with the makers mark of Samuel Whitford.
Weight: Approximately 126.5g in total.
Approximately 143mm (5 1/22) long with a bowl width of approximately 30mm (1 1/4").
These are in generally good condition with the usual scrapes and bruises you would expect for their age. There is a little right handed bowl wear on a few of them. One spoon has a wobble to the back surface as can be seen in the hallmark picture and as the 3rd spoon from the right in the spoon back picture. On the front this spoon looks fine and it shows up much more in a photograph.
It's nice to find a matching set of 6.
All vintage items have been used and loved before they find their next owner, so they should always be used with a little more care than a brand-new piece. Some minor scratches are normal. All vintage pieces I sell have been thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished when required. If repairs are needed before it's offered for sale, they are completed sympathetically.
Thank you for looking and please have a look around the other items in my shop.
