Vintage, 9ct gold bangle.
A wide, hollow, bangle with one half engraved with a scroll and foliate decoration. This in exceptional condition. Bangles of this type were often worn to the point of destruction but this one has survived very well with very little wear. There are 2 loops ready to attach a safety chain, although my opinion is that safety chains cause more problems than they solve.
Dimensions: measures approximately 12mm (1/2") wide 4.2mm deep and the oval you would put your hand through is approximately 55mm x 59mm.
Metal and Markings: Hallmarks for Birmingham. 1973, Excalibur.
Weight: 18.8g approx.
Condition: Very good, with only a few minor small dents. There are numerous small scratches building up a soft patina. The clasp and hinge are both nice and tight.
All vintage items have been worn and loved before they find their next owner, so they should always be worn or used with a little more care than a brand-new piece. Some minor scratches are normal. All vintage pieces I sell have been thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished when required. If repairs are needed before it's offered for sale, they are completed sympathetically.
Thank you for looking and please have a look around the other items in my shop.
