A pair of Antique, 9ct gold oval cufflinks with a hand engraved floral design.
 
As far as I'm concerned, a good pair of oval, gold cufflinks, with chain fittings is an essential for any shirt wearing persons jewellery box. Why chains? because they look smarter than bar fittings on both sides of the cuff. 
 
All four plates of these cufflinks have been hand engraved with a floral pattern. Each plate has a full UK hallmark and even the links of the chains have been marked. 
 
Measurements: Approximately 18mm x 12.2mm.
Metal and Marks: Full UK Hallmark. LW&G (Lawson Ward and Gammage), Birmingham, 9ct gold, 1888. 
Weight: Approximately 3.36 grams in total.
 
Condition: Excellent. There have a few slight scratches and marks, but an awful lot less than you would expect for the age. There is very little wear to the chains and they appear original. These have been very well looked after and are a bit of a rarity in this condition and age. A beautiful pair of cufflinks. 
 
All vintage items have been worn and loved before they find their next owner, so they should always be worn or used with a little more care than a brand new piece. Some minor scratches are normal. All vintage pieces I sell have been thoroughly cleaned and lightly polished when required. If repairs are needed before it's offered for sale, they are completed sympathetically.
