Hand wrought, fine silver, cuff bangle.
This Free form, wave design, cuff is hand wrought by me in my Devon workshop. Each piece of this design is truly one of a kind as I change the design slightly on each one. It took over 4,000 hammer blows to produce this piece. I've been promising myself I would make a cuff like this for some time and this is the second one (the first sold within an hour of a picture being put on social media). The pattern is inspired by the pattern left in the sand by a receding tide. I can't express how much I enjoyed making this piece and I hope you will enjoy owning it.
The technical bits. This bangle is made from 100% recycled silver that has been refined into pure silver locally to me. It is hallmarked for Fine silver, Edinburgh, 2018. It weighs approximately 67.31 grams and measures approximately 50 mm (2")wide at the widest point and 45 mm (1 3/4") at the narrowest. The bracelet diameter is approximately 60 mm (2 3/8") at the measurement for fit, but the flutes stand a little higher than that. The gap at the back to slide your wrist through is approximately 25 mm (1") wide at the smallest point and does flex open a little.
