One of a kind Opal pendant set in 9ct yellow gold.
 
This is an Opal I had to buy when I saw it. The shape and colour jumped out at me. Opals of this type need very little enhancement from a setting so I went with something very plain and the top bale reflects the Opal shape below. 
 
This features a 1.85 ct Australian Opal showing a nice, bright, Blue and Green play of colour. There is no evidence of treatment to this stone and no cracks. 
 
The setting purposely has less contact with the Opal on the "corners" as these are the parts more susceptible damage and so I've kept the pressure off them. The pendant is in 9ct yellow gold and measures approximately 25mm high, top to bottom, and approximately 8mm wide at the widest point. The Opal itself measures approximately 18mm x 7mm.
 
You can buy this pendant either on its own or on the 9ct yellow gold Spiga chain as pictured. This chain is 18" long and has an adjuster at 16" to wear it a little shorter.
 
The pendant is entirely handmade by me in my Devon studio and bears a UK hallmark.
